MMX 1 : Getting Started – Diluted Knowledge

According to NPR Consultant Shankar Vedantam featured on National Geographic’s Brain Games, “Your brain is wired to help you feel more in control. Nobody likes to walk around feeling lost and clueless.”

 


 

Just like “The Illusion of Knowledge” there are tons of illusions that our brains use to shape our reality. These illusions compound onto one another to form what you believe to be everyday life. They are the basis of popular consensus, social standards, truths, and lies. Your brain constantly works to form a foundation that makes sense of your surroundings. It’s not always accurate. Marketing specialists understand this and use it against you. We aim to equip you with an understanding of the tactics used against you in efforts to level the playing field and give you leverage on your journey to making money multiply.


One day in New York City, a banker was driving his new Jaguar down the streets. He parked it and opened the door to get out. Suddenly a taxi went by and ripped the door o . e banker reported this to a nearby police officer. e officer saw the whole thing and said “ You bankers are so involved in your possessions. You didn’t even notice that your arm was ripped o as well ” e banker stared at where his arm used to be and said “OH NO! My new Rolex is gone too! “

As stated before with the illusion of knowledge, our brain is fascinating – but in many ways it’s wired to trick us into believing things that aren’t real. Have you ever heard of change blindness? Change blindness is another disadvantage that companies use to gain leverage with their customers. Change blindness is our inability to notice when changes are made on small scales. Here’s what psychologist Ronald Rensink from the University of British Columbia has to say about change blindness:

“Change blindness is a phenomenon in which you don’t see large changes unless you tend to them. You could, for example, show a picture and then a brief blank, another picture similar to the rst except something has been changed, something’s been removed, changed color, or changed location. e idea is that you really need to pay attention to see the change, without it you just get this ashing stu . ings just happen but you can’t really see the change; you can’t track it. Attention is needed for this. To create this object, this event in spacetime, which you can then see transforming your constancy. Without that attention, it’s just stu going by”.

Perhaps the human species is blind to large changes as well as small changes. Take a moment to think about this. Large groups have been known to believe erroneous things too. For instance, the belief that we only use 10% of our brains is completely false and widely accepted as truth. Lisa Winter, a prolific writer from IFLScience, one of the leading science publication companies, states the following concerning the usage of our brain:

“It’s true that there’s a great deal we don’t know about the brain, but we certainly do know that we use our entire brain. Even if we didn’t have a wealth of data from brain scans to show this 10% figure is completely false (we do), it doesn’t even make sense using basic logic. ough the brain only weighs a couple of pounds, it is incredibly energetically demanding, requiring about 20% of all of the oxygen and glucose brought into the body. It is extremely unlikely that the brain would have evolved as it did if it were mostly useless.

Additionally, there is no evidence that someone was ever diagnosed with a brain tumor but was told: “Great news! e tumor is in a part that you don’t use!” Trauma to the brain would also rarely have devastating results if it were mostly unused, but very few survive gunshot wounds to the head, and it isn’t without some serious side e ects. While you might not be using every bit of your brain at all times, you do use the entire brain over the course of the day. Feeling like someone isn’t living up to his or her full potential is a di erent matter, but that still doesn’t mean they aren’t using their entire brain each day.”

I’m sure we can all recall a time when we have heard the lie that we don’t use all of our brain. How does this change your thinking, in nd- ing out that so many people can believe one big lie?

Contrary to popular belief, all individuals have had experience with

money management. Everyone has touched money, and dealt with – nances in one way or another. As someone who has experienced their own journey of money management, you are uniquely gifted in your own understanding of the multiplication of money. If you have read this far it’s likely you are looking for a nancial boost. You will nd this to be an exciting, challenging and ful lling next step. Freeing your- self of debt and acquiring wealth is one of the most personally and professionally rewarding achievements one can experience. It is also incredibly dif cult and should be approached with caution and care. When you decided to utilize our training series, you embarked upon a new path toward building your personal sense of happiness and satisfac- tion. See it takes more than just trying to save money to become some- one who makes money multiply. It takes completely changing the way you see your money and the things you do to each and every individual within each and every circumstance to become a better money mul- tiplier. Although sometimes if you’re already good at making money multiply a couple of tweaks to the way you see things or do things is enough to get the ball rolling.

In this training, you will learn about some best practices that are being used across the nation to make a real difference to build and sustain your personal and nancial growth. Did you know that the American economy is in a better state today than it ever has been? The world economy is also in a much better State than it ever has been in the his- tory of the world.

There are more solutions to individual problems, people are living lon- ger as a part of the human race, there’s more medication and more care for all human beings than there ever has been. This is proof that making money multiply is not some secret that only the rich understand. There are proven methods at enhancing your economical Financial State. Con- tinuing to practice the following skills and focusing on the “skill sets” that you possess will help ensure your success. Everyone has a range of skill sets that they draw upon when confronting a problem. True Money Making Multipliers just use their skill sets more frequently and are bet- ter equipped to confront problems and concerns they run into. All of us have developed a “toolbox” to reach into when dealing with unpleas- ant money sapping circumstances. However, as each situation confronts us, we sometimes forget how to apply the tools we learned in new and creative ways. There are four different skillset regions that we will be cover- ing throughout this training series. The four regions are Psychological, Physiological, Social and Value. It is important to note that this book will primarily cover the psychological region. The following is a de- tailed listing of each region and what they cover to help you further understand.

PSYCHOLOGICAL REGION

In the Psychological Region, you will be learning new ways to look at

emotions such as anger, loneliness, happiness, mindfulness, self-esteem, and behaviors such as celebration, avoidance, procrastination or with- drawal. Changing the way you see these emotions and action; and the changing the way you utilize them is crucial in making money multiply. It’s the rst step to addressing a happy healthy lifestyle, and true money multipliers focus on Happy Healthy Lifestyles rst. It’s the reason why they work so hard and it’s what they look forward to when they come home. You will be learning how the way you see and interact with the world around you has drastic effects on your ability to gain leverage on competitive corporations that currently dominate the market. You will also be learning how to spot a marketing campaign in disguise, and how to use your new knowledge to further your nancial well being. Various group and individual exercises will be demonstrated to help you add to your toolbox which, in turn, will help you work with others in develop- ing your nancial report card and building tolerance against corporate marketing structures, while simultaneously learning how to use them to gain leverage in any nancial state. This book series focuses primarily on the psychological region.

PHYSIOLOGICAL REGION

In the Physiological Region, you will examine how health impacts your daily life and thus directly affects your ability to make money multiply. This includes exercise, diet, sleep, proactive medical management and recreation. It includes learning basic health terminology and how man- aging your physical wellness can greatly enhance your nancial growth. Most things in Hollywood are not rooted in factual basis. There is one thing that you will notice however. A common trend amongst the rich and the famous is working out. Eating healthy and getting exercise ap- pear to be wildly prevalent in the media. There’s a reason for this and it’s been proven that a healthy lifestyle and nancial success are directly tied together. In this section we will be detailing exactly how you can get started on building a holistically healthy lifestyle and exactly how that ties directly into your nancial success. You’ll be learning how to Leverage your nancial gains and thus making your money work for you.

SOCIAL REGION

In the Social Region, you will look at emotions that both help and hinder your perceptions, interactions, and feelings in business relationships, with family members, and with friends. This includes how we cope with loneliness and failure. We will explore communication skills, the 80/20 principal, assertiveness, community networking, effective leadership, the role of empathy and compassion, coping skills, self-esteem, opti- mism and anger when we work with others to make money multiply.

VALUE REGION

The Value Region explores the sense of meaning and purpose in your life, as well as the value of hope in your sense of well-being and worth. You will learn about value propositions. You will compare Personal Val- ue and Community Value and the roles that both play in daily life. You will explore the value of meditation, religious beliefs and relaxation techniques. You will also examine how value connects with the other three regions, and how value connects with your wellness and the well- ness of persons around you.

Building and utilizing nancial stamina-oriented resources in a business setting is the nal section in this training curriculum. It focuses on using timely supervision and completing quality documentation of your inter- actions with those to whom you are providing services as well as the in- dividuals in your personal life, such as family members and friends. You will learn the importance of journaling. You also learn the importance of concise clear documentation for legal purposes concerning your new- found business ventures. We will learn about the importance of managing the 8 dimensions of wellness in order to maintain a 10x nancial status. We examine boundaries and ethical behavior in the workplace. Ultimately, your ability to support others who are embarking upon their own wealth journey will also strengthen your own stamina. Your suc- cess and happiness depends upon utilizing and practicing your skill sets every day, maintaining wellness and forward growth while achieving your goals.

We will work with you to ensure that you understand the curriculum and feel comfortable with all aspects of it. Together we will complete this journey.

As stated before The first few books are intended to introduce you to a new way of thinking. This ultimately means the first few books are focused on the psychological region out of the four major regions concerning Financial growth. Before you can learn to walk you must first learn to crawl before you can learn to crawl you must first open your eyes. We introduce you to a new philosophy in order to begin opening your mind to the lies that common culture and marketing have impressed upon you. It is the first of many centered around your Psychological Region. This book’s goal is to get you to recognize the changes that need to happen in the early stages of making money multiply within your life and the lives of people you come in contact with. Book 1 is coupled with practices that will help you begin to make both small and large changes such as cutting out the negative people in your life, and researching and discussing your good and bad habits so that you can begin drawing out a game plan that will aid you on your journey to making money multiply. It is not intended to stand alone; it is intended to be a handbook to get you started. All of the books in the series piggyback off of one another and should be used as weekly or biweekly workbooks. So, start with book 1. After about two weeks of carrying it around with you and working through it completely (or even repeatedly), you should move on to the next book in the series. Your objective is to commit these practices to habit and to build a routine. All of the books should be studied, and deeply thought upon daily. These books work better if studied in a group setting, including thought-provoking group discussions. If these books are rushed through, you will not get the true bene t out of them as they are designed to help you develop new habits.
